My friend Joanie said it best. It was several months ago and I was explaining the wonderment that is Pinterest…a social pinboard that’s hard to explain with words alone. Pinterest is a place to gather and share ideas related to design, fashion, food, photography, and much, much more. And although the concept is a tad abstract, Joanie described my latest addiction with ease announcing that it sounded very “Pinteresting”. I’ve used the adjective “Pinteresting” many times since that day, but recently find that I’m relating to it more as a verb. Much like relaxing or organizing, I find myself Pinteresting a lot lately and I’d love to share my successes with you guys.
Here was my inspiration for my first project…a yarn wreath for BabyB’s room…
Gorgeous right? I knew this would add a much needed touch of softness and texture to our future baby girl’s room.
So, after some brainstorming and a trip to Hobby Lobby here is what I came up with…
I had so much fun making these felt flowers. They were really quite simple to create and I love that they remind me of my favorite flower…the Ranunculus.
I chose to adorn my wreath with sewing buttons to make it all my own.
The wreath looks great on BabyB’s closet door. Her room is almost complete and I’m anxious to share it with everyone!
I hope you get creative with the inspiration you find on Pinterest. You can follow my Pinterest boards by following this link : )
